The Physical Education (PE) and Games Department offers a wide range of sporting opportunities to all children in the school through the curriculum and the extra-curricular clubs available.

From Reception through to Year 6, all pupils receive timetabled PE and games lessons where they have the chance to participate in gymnastics, dance, swimming, cross-country, fitness lessons, athletics and traditional team-sports where the pupils benefit from specialist coaching. All pupils in Years 3-6 represent Kew Green in competitive fixtures with other schools as part of our broad sporting calendar. Annually we host netball, football and rugby festivals against other local schools and we have teams representing the school in national IAPS competitions.

The sporting programme is designed to improve levels of confidence and skill. Whilst the school strives for excellence in competitive sports fixtures, it remains our core philosophy that all skill levels are catered for, so that pupils are afforded the chance to develop at their own pace and within an environment that engenders confidence and enjoyment.
